International passengers arriving in India have been asked to complete the Air Suvidha 2.0 Self-Declaration Form (SDF) before reaching immigration, under the government’s updated public-health screening system. The form is intended to help airport health authorities identify travellers who may need further assessment and is separate from ordinary visa or passport checks.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Delhi International Airport Limited launched the upgraded AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 portal on June 25, 2026, in response to the Ebola/Bundibugyo disease outbreak. The Ministry said the online declaration covers a passenger’s travel history over the previous 21 days, exposure history and relevant symptoms. It is shared with airport health officers and public-health surveillance agencies to support the identification and referral of travellers considered at risk.
The government’s instructions describe the requirement in terms of international passengers arriving in India. They do not frame it as a form meant only for foreign passport holders. Passengers travelling to India on Indian passports, OCI cards or foreign passports should therefore check the current official instructions and complete the declaration applicable to their journey before arrival.
The key distinction is the nature of the journey: the advisory concerns international arrivals, rather than passengers landing in India after a domestic flight. Travellers should also follow any additional health or entry instructions issued for their route, country of departure or transit points.
The Ministry’s June 25 announcement says the SDF can be completed up to 24 hours before arrival in India. Passengers are advised to submit it before boarding, including during web check-in where possible, so that the declaration is available when they reach the airport.
After submitting the details, passengers should download or save the generated form. The Ministry says travellers may be asked to show the downloaded SDF at the International Travel Health Desk or immigration counter. Keeping a digital copy readily accessible can help avoid delays if officials request it.
Use only the official Air Suvidha 2.0 website
The official portal is airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has warned that fraudulent websites are impersonating Air Suvidha 2.0 and directing passengers to payment gateways. It has clarified that submission of the Self-Declaration Form through the official service is free of charge.
Passengers should check the website address carefully before entering passport, health or travel information. They should not pay an agent or an unofficial website to submit the form, and should avoid sharing personal details on links received through unsolicited messages. The government has identified the civilaviation.gov.in address as the official portal.
AIR SUVIDHA 2.0 is designed to make health screening contactless while giving authorities information that can help them assess possible exposure before a passenger completes arrival formalities. According to the Ministry, the portal supports information-sharing among Airport Health Officers, the Bureau of Immigration, the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme and state surveillance officials.
Passengers should provide accurate answers about their travel and exposure history and report relevant symptoms honestly. A declaration is a screening measure; it does not replace medical assessment or other instructions that health officials may issue at the airport.
Travel requirements can change as public-health conditions evolve. Anyone preparing to travel should check the official Air Suvidha portal and updates from the Government of India close to departure, rather than relying solely on forwarded social-media posts or older travel advisories.
